More than 1000 companies from more than 100 countries took part in this year's study by the international body. "We asked ourselves around 100 questions. Employees at the Institute then checked the results in an on-site audit lasting several hours," says Dr. Lena Christiaans, Head of Corporate Employer Branding & Recruitment at Henkel. Yesterday, she accepted the honouring during a ceremonious event.

What is “Top Employer”?
Since 1991 the Top Employers (formerly CRF) Institute certifies the best employers worldwide. Germany has been included since 2003. This international research organization based in Amsterdam has developed a global standard for certification. Only a company that meets all criteria can bear the title of "Top Employer" for a year.
Nine areas were analyzed: Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, On-Boarding, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Career and Succession Management, Compensation and Benefits as well as Corporate Culture. Henkel not only proved itself in direct comparison to competitors, but also to employers from other sectors, e.g. engineering, textiles and finance.
