Tuesday, 27 October, 2015
Lantmannen Unibake, one of the leading bread manufacturers is to construct its main bakery in Nowa Sól. Both Industrial and Logistics as well as Building Consultancy departments at CBRE have been involved in the site search and purchase process as well as designing the facility, obtaining administrative decisions for the planned scheme and construction management.
Lantmannen Unibake is known in Poland for the bread produced under the Schulstad brand and has been present on the Polish market since the beginning of the 1990’s. At the moment the bread is baked in two bakeries, one in Poznań and the other one in Nieporęt, Warsaw region, operating with total number of 7 production lines. The newly constructed bakery in Nowa Sól will be the anchor plant supplying both domestic as well as some of the Western Europe markets, with approximately 100 people employed and the production capacity reaching a volume of approximately 200 tons of bread per day.

Michał Żelazek, Senior Property Negotiator, Industrial and Logistics Department, CBRE, comments:
“Successful execution of the bakery construction process requires extensive experience, expert advice and technical support at all stages of project implementation as well as a thorough understanding of the Client’s requirements. When providing support to Lantmannen, it was of key importance for the potential location to meet criteria such as: level of readiness of the development site, proactive approach of the local authorities aimed at attracting new investments to the region and the chances for obtaining a construction permit for the bakery in the shortest time possible. We would like to congratulate the Mayor of Nowa Sól, Mr Wadim Tyszkiewicz, on successfully competing with the other locations. At the same time we would like to thank all the parties involved in the process of locating the anchor plant in Nowa Sól, including Nowa Sól City Hall, Investor Assistance Center operating at the Office of the Marshal of Lubuskie Voivodeship and the County Office in Nowa Sól for their productive collaboration. The decision to erect the bakery in Nowa Sól is a testimony to the growing potential of Lubuskie Voivodeship, where the scheme will additionally contribute to employment growth in the region.”

Jonathan Steer, Senior Director, Building Consultancy, CBRE, adds:
“Lantmannen’s mission is to take responsibility “from field to fork”, which means paying particular attention to quality at each stage of the production process, so as to ensure that the end product meets all the requirements and expectations of the company’s customers. This falls in line with CBRE’s operations, where providing value and benefits at each stage of collaboration forms the basis for the relationship with our clients. As far as our collaboration with Lantmannen is concerned, we were actively involved at each stage of execution of the development – from searching for the ideal location, through advisory services in respect of selection of a suitable site and designing the facility, to providing technical support for the scheme. The collaboration has resulted in not only a new facility for our client, but also in erection of a scheme that will contribute to the region’s growth.”
