Founded in 1850 by Carlo Gancia, the creator of the first Italian sparkling wine, Gancia is an international leader in the production of sparkling wines and vermouth. With 2,000 hectares of vineyards and five million kilograms of grapes vinified, Gancia, based in Canelli, in the heart of Italy's Asti region, produces sparkling wine, still wines and aperitifs distributed to over 65 countries. The Gancia sparkling wine portfolio ranges from sweet to dry, and from Charmat method to prestige vintages fermented more than five years.
Today the Gancia portfolio features a broad range of sparkling and still wines, primarily from the Piedmont region. Sparkling wines include the original Italian sparkling wine - the signature Asti 24 Moscato; Prosecco DOC and DOCG; Pinot di Pinot range of wines blending Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Nero; as well as a range of Methodo Classico wines from Alta Langa including the iconic 36 and 60 month aged premium selection. Their award-winning still red wines include locally produced Barbera d’Asti and Barbera d’Alba. In vermouth, Gancia produce a Bianco; Extra Dry; and Rosso as well as the Americano aperitivo which is gaining huge popularity driven by the signature serve of the Americano Spritz.
